Fred’s Rivertown Alehouse was established in July of 1994. The Alehouse, the former Fred’s Tavern, is approximately 30 miles northeast of Seattle and 9 miles east of Everett.

Fred’s has transformed from a pool table, jukebox, yellow beer tavern into one of the Northwest’s premier Alehouses & restaurants. Fred’s has one of the most diverse food menus anywhere, 32 craft and European beers on draught, an excellent wine list, and one of the largest single malt scotch selections in the country.

Whether you are in the mood for comfort food, like our porter ale meatloaf, great burgers & sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and salads or ethnic foods such as gumbo, halibut tacos, lobster bisque, Thai chicken wraps, or wasabi shumai, Fred’s has something for everyone.

Hour of operation are:
Monday thru Sunday 11:00am to slow.
Our full menu in available until 10:00pm Sunday thru Thursday, and until 11:00pm Friday and Saturdays.
A limited menu including pizzas is available until closing.

We also like to indulge in most holidays. We have a special Sweetheart’s menu for Valentine’s Day. On St. Patty’s you will find Shepherd’s Pie, Corned Beef & Cabbage, Lamb Stew, and Irish Nachos. Fat Tuesday will be greeted with such delights as Shrimp Etouffee, Fried Catfish, and Gator-on-a-Stick. Other events include Cinco de Mayo and authentic Mexican fare, a German Oktoberfest Meal, Christmas with Reindeer Stew (sorry Rudolph!) and much, much, more.

In addition to many Northwest craft beers, you may find Belgian beers such as Chimay, Maredsous, or Lindemans Framboise all on draught. Rivertown Root Beer and a rotating Thomas Kemper Draft Soda are also available on tap, as Fred’s is a family friendly establishment.

Fred’s Rivertown Alehouse has received local and national acclaim. We have been named as one of the top 10 places in the USA for holiday cheer by USA Today. We have received positive reviews in newspapers such as The Seattle Times and The Everett Herald, and have been featured on NBC’s King 5 News. We were awarded the highest rating of four-stars by The Beer Lover’s Guide to the USA, one of only two such ratings in the state. They also put us on their list of Top 21 Beer Establishments in the country. Recently, we were a featured destination spot in Sunset Magazine, Feburary of 2007.
