Yes, of course, beer and donuts!! No, we haven't gone mad...yet. For those of you who've attended our beer & cake celebrations, you've learned first-hand that baked goods pair great with beer. Afterall, both share key ingredients such as water, grains, and yeast. Even Ben & Jerry's recognize this pairing when they created the "Duff 'n D'Oh-Nuts" (2007, limited release ice cream for The Simpsons Movie). While I'm not yet convinced that a lager is the best partner for a donut, everyone knows that coffee and donuts are the perfect partners. So an obvious choice in this pairing is a beer that tastes like coffee (or mocha)...and just wait to see what other beers we explore this time. Still skeptical?
